EEG systems are installed in the shielded room of ABL. When measuring, system’s
amplifiers and electrode sets (actiCAP) should locate inside the room, where as monitoring devices (PC, monitor) are in the control room.

All objects emits radiation at the infrared region, which can be detected in thermal imaging. Thermal imaging measures the temperature of infrared light emitted by different objects and converts it to a visible form. In Thermal Camera, radiated infrared energy is focused by optics to an infrared detector. From the detector, the information goes to sensor electronics for image processing.
Thermal camera can be used in various behavioral studies when making non-contact experiment, for example if measured motions from the faces. Thermal imaging has also been used for example in detecting “small nerve fiber dysfunction” and pain, and in measuring the effectiveness of the local anesthetics.
Thermal Stimulator (Thermode 381) and SenseLab software are installed in the DC-room. Synchronization with Stimulus PC is implemented over serial cable.
MSA Thermal Stimulator is based on “Peltier element”; when applying a voltage on a thermocouple
it causes a temperature difference between the junctions of those two metals.
Remote Eye Tracker, which has a sampling rate up 2000 Hz. Eye tracker locates on the table on front of the subject and tracks the eye movements on the display monitor using pupil-cornea reflection methods.
Eye tracker can be used without a chin rest at 500Hz sampling rate.
Pupil Invisible eye tracker is a remote device and can be used inside and outside the lab. There are four glasses in the lab, which all can be synchronized together (uses computer clock).
Pupil Labs software (Invisible Companion) are installed on the mobile devices.
Wash the EEG cap and electrodes in this kitchen sink, use mild soap. Notice that electrodes should not touch the metal surface of the sink.
All the electric devices are in this shelf. The back of the shelf is open, and so all cable goes to room feed-through behind the shelf.
Allied Vision Stingray camera, which works with optic fiber. Camera is connected to video PC in the Control Room. Camera view can be monitored on-line, but also can be recorded and triggered with the Stimulus system.
Allied Vision's GigE vision Manta camera. Camera is installed on inside the AC room and work as a surveillance camera. Camera view can be seen on the control room side on PC monitor (Wimba Viewer software).
Component shelf includes many devices, component and disposable items, which can can be used in either of the measurement rooms.
Right side of the shelf contains mostly MAGICS devices.
Shelf includes:

Data Logger ME6000 which can record up to 16 channels. EMG, ECG, GSR and Accelerometers can be connected. Device can be synchronized with other equipments in the lab. Electrcial Shielded room works as Faraday cage, attenuating electric noise from outside the room. The cover of the room is made of galvanized steel. The attenuation works only, when the shielded door is close tightly.
Intercomm
Works as a communication tool between the control room and the measurement room.
2N Helios IP Force device is inside the measurement room, 2N Indoor Touch 2.0 device is in the control room. Sound goes in both direction, but it can be also muted separately.
Location of the FIRST AID KIT in the fourth floor. The kit includes defibrillator.
Among other things, there are stethoscope, sphygmomameter, intubation equipment, vena puncture instruments, injection syringes, needles, vinyl gloves, etc..

Amplifier for the Panphonics Panel speakers. Separate amplfier for each channel.
Panphonics “Sound shower” panel speakers are highly directional speakers, so before experiment, you need to direct the speakers closely towards the subject.
They are passive speakers and work with Panphonics amplifier.
The operational frequency range is between 300 – 20000Hz.

Shelf contains printerd versions of all lab documents and forms. On-line versions can be found from the ABL website. Storage of the ABL. Includes all kind of components which might be useful for setup building. For example, cables, tools, audio devices, electrodes, measurement devices..

TO OPEN THE DOOR
To open the door, push the button and wait few seconds. After the door mechanics open, push the door wide open.

To close the door, pull the handle, until the door mechanics starts pull the door. Door will close tightly in few seconds.
There are some towels for drying EEG electrodes and for the EEG subjects, to dry their hair after washing the gel off.
Still, there are not enough towels for everybody; so, when recruiting the subjects, please inform the subjects to bring their own towels.
There are surveillance camera (Allied Vision, Stingray) inside the shielded room. Room can be monitored outside the room using this camera. Camera view can be also recorded and triggered with other devices.
Trigger boxes are connected to different PC, enabling TTL-trigger sending from Stimulus PC to EEG, Eye Tracking and Biomonitor PC.
Ultium EMG (Noraxon) device has 16 channels for mobile data logging (up to 4kHz). EMG, ECG, respiration and accelerometer signals are currently available.
There are two (2) sets available in the lab, which can be connected together, enabling 32 channel simultaneously.
Ultium EMG has TTL input channel, which can be used for synchronizing other external devices.
VR-PC locates are under the table in the control room. The VR-system in the AC-room uses this PC. The cable of the XR-3 headset is fed through the feed-through of the wall and connected to the graphics card of this PC.
This PC is also used as a Stimulus PS of the AC room.
Varjo's XR-3 headset is installed in the AC-room. Device has front see-through cameras, enabling augmented reality studies. The headset has an intergrated hand tracking and 200Hz eye tracker, which can also be used as a pointing device.
System includes 4 base stations around the room, plus 2 controllers.
